What's Going On?
As most of you know we have been doing some building up here on the hill. Our new office/classroom space is really starting to look like something. It's pretty exciting, being that most of us have been in separate and unique spaces this winter.
Our new building really seems to fit the "farm" a lot better than the old, an we can't wait to share it with you all!
Our syrup season has come to an end and even though Mother Nature didn't really give us the weather we needed, we had a pretty great year. We currently have about 1,800 taps with the hopes of getting up to about 4,000 taps by next season. You know, go big or go home! We are very proud of our syrup crew this yeas as they worked many long, hard days to get the job done.
We are happy to offer a Fruit Tree Grafting Clinic on April 16 starting at 9:00. This clinic will be taught by Orchardist, Scott Miller and you will learn the basics of grafting. This clinic will have both indoor and outdoor time, so please dress accordingly.
Cost for the Grafting Clinic is $25.00 per person. This class is limited to 20 participants.
Great Gift and Wedding Favor!
We are pretty excited to offer this year, small, nip sized bottles of syrup. These are perfect for a small gift, or we think that you will agree that these would make great wedding favors!
We can even custom print tags with your names, colors and the date of your event for you. Otherwise they come with a cute Pietree tag all ready for giving.
We can do large orders and offer a discount when you order a large quantity at one time.
Call the Orchard at 207-647-9419 to inquire about these.
Remember that our farm stand is still open! We are open Friday, Saturdays and Sundays 9:00 - 5:00. Stop on by and say hi to the folks at the Orchard.
