We have a great selection of fall produce available this week. We have an abundance of leeks, beets, turnips, pie pumpkins, and more! The last of the carrots were harvested and are available in the farmstand. The first of the kale, chard, and Asian greens were harvested this week and are bright and bursting with flavor! We still have fresh, ripe tomatoes from the greenhouse too!
Haven't done your fall display yet? It's not too late! Mums are available for only $4 a gallon pot and $12 a patio pot in an array of colors. We have plenty of pumpkins and gourds too- white, green, and orange! Come check out all we have to make your front porch stunning this fall!
It is a fantastic apple year! More and more apple varieties come in everyday. Right now we have Black Oxford, Wagener, Stark's Jumbo, Snow Sweet, Honey Crisp and more! Varieties change daily so if you are looking for something specific please call ahead. We still have a small selection of Asian Pears available and European pears are finally making their debut! Bosc pears will be in soon, for now we have Vermont Beaty and Staceville for your European pear needs.
Pick-your-own apples is open daily 10am-5pm. We offer free wagon rides on the weekends through October 25th! Right now we are picking Macs, Cortlands, Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Rome and Winesap. Call (207) 647-9419 before heading up to pick for availability and field conditions.
Apple firewood is now available. We have several bins available for $65 each. Each bin is 1/6 cord. Apple wood has one of the highest BTUs and adds great flavor to smoked meat and vegetables. The wood is split and will work perfectly for your home smoker and outdoor oven or to keep you warm in your wood stove this winter. If you are interested in purchasing a bin, or two, please call (207) 647-9419 to arrange pick up. Pick up is available 7 days a week from 9am-6pm. You must load and haul it away yourselves!
