We love baking in our wood-fired brick oven! Fresh from the oven this week we have a variety of breads including Maple Oat Bread, Olive Loaf and Focaccia. The Focaccia is a superb dipper! We recommend dipping it in your favorite olive oil with sea salt and fresh cracked pepper. The Olive Loaf pairs wonderfully with Cabot extra sharp cheddar cheese for a satisfying mid –day snack. Our Maple Oat Bread is wonderful toasted and smothered in jam.
Looking for that extra kick of flavor? We have a variety of spreads and jams for your breads and crackers. New to us this year are Northwoods Gourmet Girl’s preserves with exciting flavors like Wild Woman Jam with blackberries, sour cherries and raspberries to sweeten your day. Northwoods also has an amazing charred onion ketchup, which, paired with new flavors from Raye’s Mustard (like Maple Horseradish or Brown Ginger) will spice up any outdoor gathering.
Wood-fired brick oven pizza is made fresh to order every day from11:30am-3pm. Our pizza is an artisan bread product — if you haven’t tried it before, you are in for a gourmet treat! Gluten-free Pizza crusts from Dunham Farms are now available in the farm stand! This is an option for our wheat-avoiding customers, but not recommended for our customers with celiac or allergic concerns. We take caution to keep it free of gluten, but it is prepared in the same kitchen as our other pizzas, and cooked in the brick oven on parchment paper.
