Like many other strawberry farmers in Maine, we’re sad to say the rain gave us an exceptionally short and challenging you-pick year. Pick-your-own strawberry season for us is over for 2013.
On the bright side (yes, even under all these clouds) we are welcoming delicious fresh vegetables in from the fields to our Farmstand and to the two Farmers’ Markets we attend each week (Bethel on Wednesdays and Norway on Thursdays).
Snow peas, sugar snaps and shelling peas, kale, chard, heading cabbages, radishes, and lettuce. We have wonderful breads from our new wood-fired oven. Pizzas are available at lunchtime. Yes, there’s lots of delicious food at Pietree, and more growing and being harvested every week!
