This roasted apple dessert is sweet for you and your sweetheart. The pink crabapple jelly tints the whole dessert a pale shade of pink.
Preheat the oven to 350 deg. F.
For every two servings, you will need 1 baking apple (Rome, Winesap, Liberty).
Slice the apple in half length-wise. With a spoon, remove the apple core and shape a heart from around the apple core’s center.
Fill the cavity with crabapple jelly.
Place the filled apples, heart-side up, in a glass or ceramic baking dish.
Roast 30 minutes, or until fork tender.
Warm 1 TB crabapple jelly and spread in a pool on the dessert plate. Place apple filled side up, showing your loved one who’s the apple of your eye.
